Crazy Busy

Things are just crazy around here. My sister and her fiance got into town last Thursday and we've been Bridezilla-ing all over the tri-state area! The wedding will take place this Saturday, and I can not WAIT until it's over! It of course will be a great time, but it's been a long time in the making as well.

It is also my birthday this Firday. I will be 28 on the 28th. How will I celebrate? well, at the rehearsal dinner of course. No crazy parties for me. I need to be up early to get pretty on Saturday!

(I am pretty bummed though, that I don't think I'll be participating in Black Friday this year. There is just too much going on, and I have at least 4 house guests, maybe 6, so that stinks. I love the rush of shopping at 5 in the morning!!)

Another Bummer - the "sort of" ex won't be making it to the wedding. He has to work every other weekend, and of course this weekend no one can switch him because of the holidays. It's an out of town wedding, so I don't expect him to be making an appearance. It's been an ongoing argument for a few weeks now.

Also, Thanksgiving is going to be huge this year. With the wedding, that means all family who doesn't currently reside in Nebraska are IN Nebraska. So an extra 20+ at the dinner tables this year! It's going to be a crazy get together.

Today is my last day of work this week, which of course is welcome!

Oh, and I WON a giveaway again! I won this Abaca Tea Box from Fractured Toy, and her Tea Party last week. I think it will make a nice jewelry box, or something like that. Thanks!

PSF - Disney On Ice

Last night Brody and I went to Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic. They put on a really great show! I've never been to any ice skating shows, so this was a first for both of us.
Brody absolutely loved it. He sat like this through the whole show:

Here is Nemo's dad Marlin, Dorie and the shark.
Here is Simba and Nala dancing. The ice skaters were all so amazing. It was really cool to watch!

Brody got a little bored during some of the longer dance parts. Here he is playing with his Buzz Lightyear souvenior.

Belle and the Beast, after he turns into the good guy. Brody did NOT like the Beast, I think maybe because he hasn't seen this movie? Is it out on DVD, because I don't have it...

His favorite - Mickey. This was at the beginning of the show. Mickey and friends made several appearances. Brody noticed right away that Daisy and Pluto did not come. They must not know how to skate.

These guys were really cool. Something about army men marching on the ice. And their uniforms were cool too. They looked plastic.

Happy Boy. He kept saying on the way home, I can't believe this happened, did you see this? It was great.

and here is me - I had fun too!

mark. Jewel

This is one of my favorite scents. Mark. describes it as "Succulent fruits and sensual Casablanca lily mingle with warm macchiato, liquid caramel and vanilla for a precious scent that's as decadent as it is captivating."

That is pretty right on. It is a subtle, sweet smell. To me, it is a great fall/winter scent. An everyday scent. Not too powerful, but you know it's there. And it's great for all ages. I love it, my mom loves it, and so does my 15 year old sister.

From now until Christmas, everyone who places an order of $20 or more in my mark. boutique will get an entry for a bottle of Jewel. (1.5 fl oz., $20 value).

Check it out, you'll be sure to find something you love!

Look what I just bought...

It will be arriving Wednesday. I am in heaven.

I guess this is my Christmas present to myself???
I have been a Mac girl since high school. Had to be, in the art and graphic design world. My senior year in college I bought an eMac, and it's been my loyal and trusty companion since 2003. But it's time to move on. The eMac will still be used, I will be donating it to my sister, who is 16 and desperately needs her own computer. (My parents have one, but it is sooo old that it can't even handle basic internet, so she is constantly at my house, using my beloved eMac, clogging her up with music and photos.) So it's a win win for everyone. Especially me.

Isn't she beautiful?
