Did I do a bad thing? Or the right thing??

I kissed another boy. I might have even liked it.

Okay. I need some help here. I have been very irritated with Adam lately. He went on his little single guys cruise, and I really haven't talked to him too much since he got back. Before he left, we had a big heart to heart about us, and what exactly the problem is. And he finally admitted in the exact words, "I am scared to be with you, I don't know if I can be a father to Brody. I don't want to lose you, I know you are the best thing for me, I'm just scared."

Yeah, I knew that was coming.

So after his trip to the tropics, he comes back here where its 30 below, and he gets sick. So all last week we didn't talk about it, or hardly at all for that matter. He was better by the weekend, but wanted to stay home by himself, probably because he knows I'd make him talk about it. He says, just give me some time. Sorry, but I think I've given you lots of time. Too much, actually.

Saturday night I had a girls night, went out to eat, and shopping and some barhopping with a friend who is going to Vegas with me. When we reached our hometown bar, there were lots of people out. This one guy, who just happens to be very good friends with Adam was in there, and came up to me right away. I always say hi, but not a lot more. I think he's kind of shy, and it can be hard for me to talk to shy guys. I'm not used to it I guess.

Well, he asked what was going on with Adam, and I said nothing. Because really, we are kind of at a standstill. He seemed to like this answer and started talking my ear off. I was kind of shocked, because I didn't know he liked to talk so much! I ended up having a few people over after the bar, and of course he came along. He was the last to leave, and before he did he told me he liked me and wanted to call me, and I kissed him. A.really.nice.kiss.

Now I feel guilty. Not really for kissing someone, because I am allowed. But for kissing Adams friend. Why did it have to be his friend? I would be so heartbroken if Adam kissed any of my friends. Or worse. Started to date them? Because I am seriously thinking about it. Maybe it would be a good thing for me to see someone else. Let him realize I'm not just waiting around for him anymore. But his friend? Yikes.

I don't know. Right now, I'm still trying to figure out if I kissed him because I like him or just because I am mad at Adam? Because he will find out, if he hasn't already. And he will be hurt. and that actually does in a small way please me. I'm tired of the run around. But I still love him and want him. So now what do I do?

Geek Squad to the Rescue

So I just received the funniest phone call EVER. This is how it went down:

Me: Emerson Mfg, This is Hollie

Andy: Hollie, are you guys okay over there? I've been worried.

(At this point, I have NO idea who this is.)

Me: Um, yeah, we are good.......How are you?

Andy: Well, you haven't called in so long, I thought you have forgotten about me.

(I still have no clue.)

Me: No?.........We are okay.......Was I suppossed to call?

Andy: Well, you used to call me at LEAST once a month, if not more, and even on my CELLPHONE. But I haven't heard from you since the beginning of December. Have you been cheating on me???

Now I am just speechless. I seriously don't even know what to say.

So, I play along, and say: No, I thought you were cheating on me, so I moved on. I don't need you anymore. (Still no idea....)

Andy: WHAT!!!! You aren't going to use GEEK SQUAD anymore!!!

and I bust out laughing. CLICK! It's Andy, my loveable geek from Geek Squad!

After I explained to him that I didn't know who I was talking too, and he gave me a runaround about talking like that to strangers, we both had a good laugh.

You see, we tend to break things around here a lot. Network crashes, someone seems to have lost a wire, the internet doesn't work, we need to upgrade, etc. etc. etc.

Andy and I are old pals. I even have his cell phone on my speed dial. He was just checking in, making sure I haven't thrown my monitor through the window yet! He misses us and wants to come for a visit. I'll try to break something in the next few weeks to make his wish come true.

No kidding.

Time goes by so much faster at work if you actually......WORK.

I am so LAZY today.

I really have nothing to blog about. Here I am, sitting at work, staring at the computer. I watched the Inauguration this morning on the computer, then I did some online shopping for my Vegas trip, then I flipped through a few magazines that I got in the mail today.

Then I took the CD the photographer of Heather's wedding gave me and uploaded pictures for the rest of the fam to see. These are a few of my faves.

and I've been deciding which ones I should print for the last hour or so. Woops. Glad I get paid to do this kind of stuff at work.

I am in the process of redoing our company website, and I really should be working on that instead. I "might" work on it tonight, on my laptop while watching the Biggest Loser, but I don't know how much "work" I'll actually get done...

I think I'll just say it's a paid ME day today.

Really Important Stuff

I was in Barnes and Noble one day last summer, waiting in the Starbucks line when this cute little book caught my eye.  I picked it up and flipped through a few pages, intrigued.  But I didn't buy it.  But I kept remembering a few of little one-liners in it, and ended up making a trip back to the store not even a week later and picked it up.  I am so glad I did.  

This little book is inspirational, fun, and really helps me to keep my life in perspective. Each page has a quick little one-liner that can really get you thinking. I keep it on my nightstand, and honestly probably flip through it and read a few pages a few times a week.  Whenever I am tired, stressed out, sad, mad, or just can't sleep, this book is what I turn too.
