Seriously.

I am so fricken busy this week. I work in a small company, besides the shop guys, there are 2 salesmen, me (Controller of All things), and another girl who does Accounts Receivable and whatever else I can find for her to do. She decided to go on vacation this week.

I have to get a 500+ direct mailer out by the end of the week. UGh. This involves lots of printing, folding and stuffing. Usually this falls on her. I also have all my end of the month duties, regular duties, and her duties, plus we have a new jack that needs new literature designed, printed and mailed out, and I have a banner ad for the internet due on Friday too.

So I doubt I'll have anything interesting to say in the next few days. I am, however planning a trip to Hobby Lobby in the next day or so that will probably cost me a few hundred dollars.

Inspiration at its finest. I can't wait!

I live with a Superhero.

Brody is only 4, so he doesn't have a lot of chores yet.  He is a great helper and likes to help me dry the dishes, take out the trash, pull weeds, etc.  But he is not expected to do that - he just likes to make sure I know "he's growing up".  One thing he IS in charge of, is filling Ernie's food dish in the morning before we leave the house.  He had been slacking on that lately.  I had also been waking up between 4 and 5 finding him in my bed.  Not a huge deal, really, because I love to cuddle with him, but I want to break that habit.  He had been doing so well.

So we made a deal.  He's been DYING,  BEGGING me for a full body IronMan costume for a few months now, thanks to some mail order catalog that came to our house.  Sometimes I think he loves IronMan more than me.  I told him that if he could remember to feed Ernie, and sleep all night in his own bed for 2 whole weeks, I would get him the costume now, instead of waiting for Halloween.  We even made a little chart and hung it on the wall by his bed so he could see how he was progressing.

He did it!
And I am happy to say Ernie is still being fed, and he is still in his bed when I get up at 6.  Isn't he the cutest IronMan ever??

Holy Comments! Thanks Sitstas!!!

WOW!  Thanks everyone for all the comment love today!  I knew being featured on SITS would be awesome, but I really had NO IDEA!!!

It was a great day, I spent most of it right here in front of my computer!  I know I didn't visit or comment back to everyone yet, but I will be making the rounds soon!

Also, I want to thank everyone for all the advice and honest responses that I got back!  That's why I put it out there - to get opinions, (OUTSIDE opinions).  I really only got one negative comment all day - a pretty pathetic one I might add from an anonymous person of course, trying to put me down for being a single mom trying to date.

Sorry anonymous - you didn't hurt my feelings, and no I will not publish your comments.  Nice try though, and thanks for thinking of my blog.  I wish I could be as dedicated to yours as you are of mine.

Possible New Adventures??

Well last weekend was quite a time.  My parents took Brody to Kearney with them to visit my brother and his fiance, and since I had a free weekend, I decided to take advantage and live it up.  I went out with my BFF on Friday night and had a bachelorette party for a college friend on Saturday night.  But - instead of showing you a bunch of pictures of drunk girls doing things that should NEVER be posted on the internet, I decided to show you what else I have been up too lately.

I've been feeling antsy, and just plain unhappy lately.  I have decided to change it up in a few areas.  One, being I NEED to get more creative, and get back into graphic design.  I have been kicking around a few ideas, and am going to start up small.  I have a plan though, that will hopefully, and thankfully take awhile to get going.  I have a great job, NOW, but I know this job will not last forever, due to greedy family of my ever aging boss.  Let's just say, I am thinking of the future, while building on it now.

The other area that needs some tweaking, I'm sure you can all guess, is my love life.  As much as I love him, I just don't know anymore.  How can someone who can't be without you be so indecisive about things?  Yeah, that's what I think too.  I'm not DONE with it, just open to the idea of something else.  I even gave out my number to two guys this weekend.  Both have called.  One MIGHT be a good thing, the other has turned into a stalker from which I have now blocked on my phone.  Seriously creepy - but a story for another time.  The way I see it, two can play at Adam's game.  We'll see who wins.

He won!

Thanks to everyone who voted for Brody and his painting. HE WON! I think he is going to get a personalized story book as his prize.

I've been swamped, both at home and work. I am going to try to get apost up today about our weekend, but I can't make any promises!!

Be back soon....

Weekend Wedding Recap

A good college friend of mine got married this weekend.  A few of my besties and I made a girls weekend of it and all went together. The bride was of course beautiful, and the wedding was classy, cheerful, and of course a great time.

My girls and I tend to get a little crazy when we are together.  In fact, as we were walking into the ceremony, a lady who I later found out was the brides aunt, asked us if we were the rugby girls.  We had a reputation before the wedding even started!

Here's a shot of us, proving who we are for the camera, I guess!  The food was great, the dance was fun, the boys were cute, what more could we have asked for??

Oh, I don't know, maybe one of those cute boys picking me a flower??  :)  It didn't stay this pretty for long.

Before the ceremony, we hit a few of the local bars.  It was in a small riverside college town, so lots of fun little hole in the wall joints.

I really like this picture of me and Willy.  One of my favorite people ever.

Funny story - after the wedding we went back out into the bars (with the cute boys who of course bought all the drinks!)  In one of the bars I got asked the weirdest question I have EVER been asked.  IT went something like this:

Girl in bar to me - OMG I absolutely LOVE your dress!!! What size are you?

ME - Oh, well thanks.  It's Candies brand, so it's probably an 8 or a 10, I don't know.

Girl - I love it.  I want it.  Do you think you could sell it to me?  and your cute red shoes too??

ME - Um, no, I don't think so, I really like it too.  I bet you can find one online.

So I turned back to my friends, wanting the crazy girl to leave.  She comes back with 2 shots, gives me one.  We cheers, and after the shot she says

"How about $30 plus we can switch outfits right now in the bathroom?"

ME - Uh, that's pretty gross.  I think I will just keep my dress.  But thanks anyways.

SERIOUSLY.

How does this stuff always happen to me?  Crazy girl.
